TMS Therapy (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation)
BrainsWay Deep TMS, psychiatrist led and qEEG guided. Delivered at our Oakville clinic inside Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. When Medication Isn’t Enough, There’s Another Way
What Is TMS Therapy?
Think of TMS as physical therapy for your brain. Just as a physiotherapist uses targeted techniques to restore movement and reduce pain, TMS uses gentle magnetic pulses to stimulate specific areas of the brain involved in mood, behaviour, and cognitive function. These pulses help restore healthy brain activity without surgery, sedation, or medication.TMS stands for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation. Transcranial simply means through the skull. The technology is similar to what is used in an MRI machine, but focused on targeted areas of the brain. It has been in clinical use for over 20 years and is approved by both Health Canada and the FDA.
